This year, we’re leveling up competitive play across the board. Expect more events, more ways to prove your skills, and a clear path to the 2025 VeeFriends TCG Championship title this December. This year we are launching an official tournament season set for April 21, 2025 to December 14, 2025.

We’re excited to unveil a brand-new point system designed to bring more strategy and competition to this season’s VeeFriends Trading Card Game (TCG) events! Participation and match win points set the foundation, but event multipliers add an extra kick. The system is designed to reward dedicated and competitive players while ensuring newer or more casual participants can still stay engaged and climb the ranks. It strikes a balance — encouraging skill and consistency without creating a gap that feels unattainable.

Here’s how the points work for the new season:

Each event has its own points multiplier to boost your total!

Participation = 1 pointMatch Wins = 2 point each

Multipliers:

Registered Store/Vendor Event(s) = x1Sanctioned Tournaments = x2Official Road to the VF Championship Event(s) = x3Official VF Championship = x5

To calculate your total, simply add your participation points (1) and your win points (2 each), then multiply by the event’s special multiplier!

Example:

Andy and Adam go to a Road To VF Championship event and play five rounds. Andy wins only one round, so he earns (1 + 2) x 3 = 9 points. If Adam wins all his rounds, he will earn (1 + 10) x 3 = 30 points.

For the first time ever in VeeFriends history, we will introduce a dynamic leaderboard, making every game an opportunity to climb the ranks!

VeeFriends is excited to partner with carde.io to develop and launch the official VeeFriends Trading Card Game (TCG) Play Network.

Launching in mid-April, this system is designed to connect players, retailers, and event organizers within both the VeeFriends and greater trading card game community. It will serve as a hub for players to participate in local and global events, track their progress, and engage with the game in a structured and competitive environment.

Through the VeeFriends TCG Play Network, players can find official tournaments, casual play sessions, and special promotional events at participating stores. It will be the home of the official VeeFriends TCG leaderboard, as well as other TCG happenings and updates.

Once the platform officially launches in mid-April, all interested participants will need to create profiles in the VeeFriends TCG Play Network (further instructions will be shared at a later date). ALL events will need to submit results and utilize the VeeFriends TCG Play Network.

In 2024, we introduced sanctioned tournaments — community-organized events officially recognized by VeeFriends. These events gave players structured competition outside of main events. But in 2025, we’re taking it further. There are no more caps on sanctioned tournaments, meaning more opportunities to play, compete, and climb the ranks. The official tournament season runs from April 21, 2025 to December 14, 2025, and all sanctioned events must take place within this window to count.

More events mean more opportunities to practice your strategy, refine your deck, and climb the leaderboard.

The road to the VeeFriends TCG Championship starts soon. The 2025 VeeFriends TCG Championship will be the apex of competition, featuring two play-in qualifiers in New York City, and Chicago, with a grand Championship event where the best of the best will battle for the ultimate title on the west coast this December.

The first official regional VeeFriends TCG qualifier is coming to New York City this June! Time to fine-tune your deck, sharpen your strategy, and lock-in.
