Jackson Tchatchoua is excited and determined to conquer his Premier League dream after joining Wolves.
The right-back signed a five-year contract at Molineux after a reported £10.5m (€12.1m) move from Serie A side Hellas Verona.
The 23-year-old, who has 10 caps for Cameroon, provided two goals and three assists for Verona last season as they managed to avoid relegation from the Italian top-flight.
Tchatchoua could make his debut for Wolves in their Premier League clash with Bournemouth this Saturday, and is relishing the chance to show his worth on the big stage.
“My first impressions are that we have everything here,” Tchatchoua told the club website.
“It’s not too big, it’s not too small, it’s very good. I spoke with some people from the club and everyone enjoys it. I feel a good atmosphere in this club.
“I’m very excited to play. It’s one of my dreams, and I want to conquer this dream.
“I feel happy to be here and I’m excited. I spoke a little bit with the coach, but I’ll speak more.
“The Premier League is one of my dreams and it’s one step that I want to do in my life, and also the history of the club, the stadium, the fans, this convinced me.”

For Bournemouth, meanwhile, they remain without midfielder Justin Kluivert, who memorably scored a hat-trick of penalties against Wolves at Molineux last season.
But the Dutchman was absent from the Cherries’ opening game of the 2025-26 campaign against Liverpool, a game Bournemouth went on to lose 4-2 at Anfield.
Kluivert enjoyed a strong season in 2024-25, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists in the Premier League, his best return in terms of goal involvements in his career.
And the 26-year-old is eager to get back on the pitch for Bournemouth, crediting manager Andoni Iraola as the reasoning behind his form last season.
“I always give credit to the coach how he changed me and my game. I have to thank the coach a lot,” said Kluivert.
“Obviously, I’ve played in a lot of leagues but I have always believed in myself and never gave up. A lot is possible if you do those two things, inside and outside of football.
“I would say for me what is important to my form last is that now I feel settled, gives me the rest to focus on the good things, what I can show on the pitch.
“I know I can show a lot and I want to achieve the same this season or even better, because I know I have more in me for sure.”

Bournemouth – Antoine Semenyo
Following his two goals against Liverpool, Antoine Semenyo has netted a brace in each of his last two Premier League appearances after only scoring more than once in one of his first 80 matches in the competition.
He’s also the second Ghanaian to achieve this feat, along with Tony Yeboah in 1995, while the only African player to score 2+ goals in three appearances in a row was Papiss Cisse in April 2012 for Newcastle United.
Wolves – Jorgen Strand Larsen
Despite failing to score against a ruthless Manchester City side on the opening day, Jorgen Strand Larsen will still be a big threat for Wolves here.
He scored 14 league goals last season, including a brace against the Cherries in a 4-2 defeat at Molineux.
MATCH PREDICTION – BOURNEMOUTH WIN
Bournemouth have made a habit of treating their home fans to a positive start, having avoided defeat in their last five opening home matches in the Premier League (three wins, two draws).
They have also won three of their last five Premier League games against Wolves (lost two), though all three victories have come at Molineux.
Bournemouth, however, have won just three of their last 14 Premier League matches (four draws, seven losses), including losing three of their last four (one win). The Cherries have not lost their opening two league games of a season since 2017-18.
Wolves, meanwhile, have never lost in five top-flight away games against Bournemouth (three wins, two draws), making the Cherries the side they’ve faced most often on the road without defeat in the competition.
However, Wolves have won just one of their last 22 Premier League matches in August (D10 L11), a 1-0 away win at Everton in 2023. Their overall August win ratio in the competition is just 14% (five wins in 35 games), the lowest of any side to play 30+ games in this month.
Joao Gomes could prove to be a nuisance for Bournemouth. He made four tackles and conceded three fouls against Man City, both the joint-most by any Wolves player in the match.
