The internet may have a TON of mixed reactions to JoJo Siwa‘s romance with her Celebrity Big Brother UK co-star Chris Hughes, but what does her family think?!

As Perezcious readers know, the former Nickelodeon personality and Love Island alum sparked romance rumors while on CBB UK — despite the fact the 22-year-old was dating Kath Ebbs, whom she broke up with right after leaving the show. After insisting her dynamic with Chris was strictly platonic, the duo quickly hard-launched a romance! They’ve already met the other’s families too!

So, with that in mind, Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller — who was with the couple when Chris was hanging with his girlfriend’s parents during her birthday week celebrations last month — said Jessalynn and Tom Siwa are all in on the relationship!

Speaking to DailyMail.com on Friday, the dance instructor said of her former pupil:

“She’s living her best life. I think they are adorable together. I was with them while they were together in Orlando. The way they look at each other, you can tell that they really like each other.”

Aw!

So what does her momager think?! Abby shared:

“Her mom Jessalynn and her dad Tom love that she brought a guy home.”

Uhh… “Love that she brought a guy home.” That’s inneresting wording…

Why not say they like Chris? Or that they were happy to meet JoJo’s new partner? Why the emphasis on the fact she was with a guy now??

FWIW, JoJo’s parents have been very supportive of her ever since she came out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community in 2021, so we doubt this was meant to come across so shady. But given the context, it sounds kinda rude. Just saying! That said, it’s not like Jessalynn or Tom said this themselves — so take it with a grain of salt. The main sentiment seems to be that they approve.

Speaking of all the controversy surrounding the relationship, when asked how JoJo has coped with the backlash, the choreographer went on:

“JoJo is laughing about it, she doesn’t care at all. I think she learned it from me, and she needs to keep that in mind as the relationship continues, as long as she doesn’t care about the haters, the better.”

It’s gotta be so difficult to be navigating her sexuality on a public stage. Heck, even her idol Miley Cyrus got in on it, which she clearly wasn’t laughing about. Knowing how stressful some aspects of this chapter of her life must be, we’re glad to hear her fam is supportive!
