SpaceX, under the leadership of billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, conducted the ninth test flight of its massive Starship rocket today. Unfortunately, the rocket once again exploded mid-air, failing to complete the test. However, SpaceX doesn’t consider this outcome a failure.

Flight 9 Focused on Fuel Efficiency and Maneuvering

The mission, known as Flight 9, was particularly challenging. This time, the engineering team focused on testing fuel efficiency, which meant the rocket had to execute tighter maneuvers and endure greater engine strain. The team also attempted to test a backup engine during the landing phase. Unfortunately, the rocket detonated before the maneuver could be completed.

A Learning Experience, Not a Failure

Despite the explosion, Elon Musk and SpaceX emphasized that the flight was not a failure. The mission yielded valuable technical data, which engineers will analyze to improve future launches. Musk noted that the launch frequency may increase in the near future, with the possibility of a new launch every three weeks.

As of now, no official date has been announced for the next flight.
