When it comes to coding, artificial intelligence has now become a central pillar — and Google has made its move in this field by introducing Stitch at I/O 2025.

Stitch helps developers create web and mobile application interfaces using just a few words or even an image. It also generates the corresponding HTML and CSS code for these designs. Users can choose between Gemini 2.5 Pro or Gemini 2.5 Flash models while using Stitch. The tool supports both coding and interface design.

Several other AI tools for programming have also emerged, including those from companies like Anysphere, Cognition, and Windsurf. Recently, OpenAI introduced its own solution called Codex, while Microsoft rolled out updates to GitHub Copilot.

Although Stitch may seem more limited compared to some of its competitors, it stands out with its customization features. Designs can be exported to Figma, and developers have the freedom to edit the code as needed. Google Product Manager Kathy Korevec describes Stitch as “an easy place to start coding and designing,” adding that their goal is to make it easier for everyone to bring their ideas to life.
