President Trump’s pick for FBI chief is a step closer to confirmation following a Senate Confirmation Approval. The nomination was approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee in a 12-10 party line vote.
According to Senator Markwayne Mullin, at 5:30 PM ET, the Senate will vote on a motion to proceed to executive session for Kash Patel. If moved forward, republicans will file cloture to put him on the clock. Patel could be confirmed by Thursday.
