Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell says officials are walking a fine line when it comes to setting monetary policy and its impact on inflation and the economy. Speaking to lawmakers Tuesday, Powell was careful not to offer a timeline for interest-rate cuts, which investors are now betting will begin in September.
