The Fed has cut interest rates for the first time in 4 years, and itโs started off big with 0.5 percent. This begs the question of what it means for the economy and the markets. Todayโs video has the answers.
In the short term, the Fedโs rate cuts are likely to juice the markets. Itโs going to take time for the so called โlag effectโ to affect the economy, which seems to be a lot stronger than it appears.
However, it seems that everyone forgot about the most important factor of all โ the Fedโs decision around its balance sheet. This could set the stage for a 2008 style financial crisis in the next year.
