The Seattle Mariners acquired outfielder Taylor Ward from the Baltimore Orioles on Monday in exchange for three pitchers, per multiple reports.
Right-handers Alex Hoppe, Brock Moore and Harrison Kreiling are headed to the Orioles in the trade deadline deal.
Ward, 32, leads the American League with 87 walks and is batting .246 with seven homers and 30 RBIs in 111 games.
Baltimore acquired Ward in a trade last November that sent right-hander Grayson Rodriguez to the Los Angeles Angels.
Ward is a lifetime .247 hitter with 120 home runs and 375 RBIs in 815 games with the Angels (2018-25) and Orioles.
Hoppe, 27, made his major league debut in April and is 0-1 with a 5.79 ERA in 24 appearances out of the Seattle bullpen.
Moore, 26, has not reached the big leagues. He is 4-5 with four saves and a 3.72 ERA in 31 games (no starts) between High-A Everett and Double-A Arkansas this season.
Kreiling, 24, also has not reached the majors. He has no decisions and a 1.69 ERA in four starts this season between rookie ball and Class-A Inland Empire.
