We are learning more this Monday as President Donald Trump announced that the United States is working to reinstate the blockade on the Strait of Hormuz. In his social media post, President Trump said that “Hormuz Strait is OPEN, and will remain OPEN,” also suggesting that the U.S. should be paid for protecting assets and cargo shipped through the waterway.
