How to get Trickster in Universal Tower Defense Z

You have a 15% chance of obtaining Trickster from the Golden Palace level of the Extraction gamemode. This unit has 8 pity, meaning you are guaranteed to receive the character after clearing Golden Palace a total of eight times.

The Golden Palace Extraction presents a unique challenge. You have to fight Shadows patrolling the hallways, who gain different debuff immunities after seeing and attacking your character. During encounters, elite stages can appear on the map, rewarding keys that are needed to unlock Locked Rooms.

There are four Locked Rooms: the first three contain mini-bosses and the final one contains the main boss. The main boss is inside the Velvet Room, which can only be opened with the key obtained by completing the Trickster’s Trial quest. Defeating the main boss, Gregory, will reward you with the evolution item for Trickster, following which you must escape the palace.

Select the Trickster unit in the Evolutions menu and submit the following items to evolve him to The Phantom Trickster:

Wild Card of Phantoms

On max upgrade or the 4th upgrade (at Etherealization 4), this unit summons a Phantom companion.The Phantom has a fixed SPA, copies 50% Damage and has three Attack variants.When the same Attack is used three times, amplify the Attack permanently.Eiha Attack: The Phantom deals 50% Damage and applies Fear for 3 seconds. Fear makes the enemies walk back and attack other enemies.Concentrate Attack: Apply +50% Damage to Trickster for 10 seconds.Bufu Attack: The Phantom deals 35% Damage and applies Freeze for 3 seconds.

The Phantom Trickster has a “Hope” Charge that doesn’t reset between matches.On Boss Takedown, the unit gains +10 Hope Charge.For every 1% Hope, the unit gains +1% Damage, -0.2% SPA, and +1% Range (at Etherealization 6).At 25% Hope, the unit does +50% Boss Damage.At 50% Hope, the “Leader of the Team” passive grants +100% Damage to allies.At 75% Hope, the “Leader of the Team” passive grants +150% Damage on Follow-up Crit. At 100% Hope, this unit’s created Phantom copies 100% Damage.

Leader of the Team

For every “Phantoms” Tag ally in range, the unit gains +50% Damage.The allied unit will Follow-up when this unit attacks. Follow-up Cooldown is set to 15 seconds.On Attack, the unit does a Follow-up Attack for 25% (50% at Etherealization 2) Damage.On Follow-up Critical Hit, the unit does +75% Damage for 10 seconds.

Ambush (Active Ability)

Unlocked at max upgrade.Trickster and all other placed Phantoms will begin an Ambush on a non-static boss or enemy.Begin the Ambush with +1 SP to spend on abilities during the Active Ability.Each unit will have one turn to select an Attack. Trickster will have the following Attack options: Eiha, Concentrate, and Bufu.Eiha: Deals 200% Damage and applies Stun for 10 seconds.Concentrate: Gives +2 SP and buffs the next unit’s Damage by 200%.Bufu: Deals 150% Damage and applies Freeze for 15 seconds. All Out Attack (only available if all Phantoms are present): Deals 1000% of their total Damage. (Cooldown: 90 seconds)
