US stocks diverged on Tuesday as OpenAI (OPAI.PVT) doubts weighed on tech stocks and the UAE said it would leave the OPEC group of oil producers.
The Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC) sank 1.2% to lead losses, while the S&P 500 (^GSPC) pulled back 0.6% on the heels of Monday’s record-high closes. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI), which includes fewer tech stocks, rose 0.3%.
