An enormous winter storm has dumped sleet, freezing rain, and snow across much of the United States this weekend, paralyzing air and road traffic while sending temperatures plunging. We have learned that at least 182 million people were under watches or warnings for ice and snow, and more than 210 million were under cold weather advisories or warnings. According to FOX Weather, the highest snow accumulation reached 23.3 inches in New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and the greatest ice total was 1.0 inch in Oxford, Mississippi. Reports even show that the major winter storm triggered a rare avalanche in Pennsylvania that left a road impassable this weekend. Tens of thousands of flights continue to be disrupted, and hundreds of thousands of customers were without power.
