At the White House press briefing today, President Trump was asked numerous questions about the US commitment to the NATO alliance with mostly other European countries. Trump declined not to answer if the US planned to stay in NATO, saying there essentially is no NATO without the United States, and that he doubted if other NATO countries would come to the aid of the US.
