AJ Styles received an emotional message from Sami Zayn ahead of his rumoured WWE retirement. Styles is set to put his career on the line against Gunther in a rematch from their bout on RAW two weeks ago. Ahead of the big match, Zayn sent a heartfelt and emotional message to Styles and subtly gave him his flowers.
After Gunther boasted about making John Cena tap out continuously, Styles stepped up to him and challenged him to a match. The two men faced off in an intense match where AJ Styles actually made Gunther tap but the referee didn’t see this. Styles was distracted by this and Gunther took advantage of that and beat him.

The Phenomenal One came out next week to ask the Ring General for a rematch but Gunther only agreed on the condition that Styles puts his career on the line. Styles accepted the challenge and the two will clash again at the Royal Rumble PLE in Saudi Arabia. Sami Zayn shared an Instagram story where he had action figures of AJ, Jacob Fatu, Rey Mysterio and Jimmy Uso. He captioned the picture as:

AJ Styles beat Shinsuke Nakamura at SNME
After AJ announced that he is going to put his career on the line against Gunther at the Royal Rumble, Nick Aldis invited him to SmackDown. AJ has a history with Aldis from their time in TNA where Aldis (fka Magnus) ended the Phenomenal One’s TNA career. At the show, Shinsuke Nakamura challenged the former WWE Champion and asked him to prove that he’s still Phenomenal.
The two legends faced off against each other in an epic match in Montreal at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The bout featured a lot of callbacks from their legendary match at Wrestle Kingdom 10. After a hard hitting match, Styles beat Shinsuke and praised him afterwards.
Fans are hoping that AJ Styles beats Gunther at the Royal Rumble somehow and doesn’t retire.
