New details about the death of 18-year-old Anna Kepner onboard a Carnival Horizon cruise ship this month were revealed during a virtual court hearing for Kepner’s stepmother and the stepmother’s ex-husband in an unrelated custody dispute.
FOX 35 Orlando reports that one of the revelations was that Kepner and some of her step-siblings shared a cabin aboard the cruise ship, including her 16-year-old stepbrother, who court documents allege is under suspicion by the FBI as a potential “suspect.”
Law enforcement and the Medical Examiner’s Office have remained tight-lipped about the case, not revealing much of anything in an official capacity, including the cause and manner of death and whether anyone is considered a suspect.
During the hearing, it was also reportedly mentioned that the stepbrother was taken to the hospital immediately after the cruise docked at Port Miami, but a reason was never mentioned.
Retired FBI supervisory special agent, Scott Duffey joined LiveNOW’s Josh Breslow to discuss the case.
