Burn Island, the home of limited-time treasures available to BOOK GAMES holders, has seen some exciting updates! Whether you’re returning to VeeFriends or just getting started, here’s everything you need to know on how to participate in Treasure Chest events on Burn Island.

Step 1: Hold BOOK GAMES in Your VeeFriends Wallet
To participate in Treasure Chests, you’ll need to hold your BOOK GAMES in your VeeFriends Wallet because holders can only burn their BOOK GAMES tokens on Burn Island through the VeeFriends Wallet. In order to generate your VeeFriends Wallet, you need to have, or create, a VeeFriends account, which automatically generates your VeeFriends Wallet.
If you already have BOOK GAMES NFTs in another wallet (like MetaMask), you’ll need to transfer them to your VeeFriends Wallet so you can burn them on Burn Island during Treasure Chest events. This requires a small amount of ETH on Base for network fees.
If you don’t yet have BOOK GAMES, you can buy them directly through your VeeFriends Wallet on Rarible or Opensea, from the verified collection: “Book Games by VeeFriends.”
Step 2: Link Any External Wallets
If you have any external wallets that hold other VeeFriends NFTs, such as VeeFriends Series 1, Series 2, or Iconics, make sure those external wallets are linked to your VeeFriends account. Some Treasures are token-gated, meaning access is limited to holders of certain collections, characters, or rare attributes.
If you haven’t logged into VeeFriends.com in a while, here’s how to make sure your external wallet is connected:
Visit VeeFriends.com and click “Get Started” in the top right.Sign in your email address (likely the one you used back in January, 2022)Once signed in, go to the menu top right and select “Wallet”Click “Add Wallet → Hot Wallet → MetaMask.”Click “Connect” and “Confirm” in your Metamask Wallet pop up.

Step 3: Visit the Treasure Chest
Once you’re ready, head to the Treasure Chest page on Burn Island.
There, you’ll see a lineup of various physical and digital treasures available through Fair Entry Draws.
Each treasure tile includes:
A photo of the treasureThe name and estimated valueThe BOOK GAMES tokens required to burnThe tokens required to hold for eligibility (when necessary)A tag that reads “Active — Fair Entry Draw”
Step 4: Select and Enter Fair Entry Draw
Fair Entry Draw allows users to enter for a specific treasure and commit to burning the required tokens only if they are selected as winners once the draw closes. If you’re not chosen, your tokens remain untouched.
When you find a treasure you’re eligible for based on the tokens that you hold, click the tile. You’ll see a detailed description, a countdown timer for the draw, and a button that says Enter.
Important Rules Before Entering A Fair Entry Draw For A Treasure Chest!
1. One (1) BOOK GAMES can only be approved for only one (1) draw at a time
If you want to enter 2 different draws, you need different BOOK GAMES tokens to approve.
2. You can not cancel an entry to a draw
Choose carefully, as once you confirm to enter for entry to a treasure, you cannot cancel. Entering a draw is committing to burn if your draw is chosen and you are unable to use that token for any other Burn Island event.
3. Hold Requirement Eligibility is checked when you enter AND before a winner is chosen.
Make sure the token(s) you need to burn are in your VeeFriends Wallet until the draw has ended.
4. You are allowed one (1) entry per treasure per account.
Select Enter to check your eligibility.
If you qualify, you’ll be automatically redirected to an approval page, where you’ll see all eligible BOOK GAMES tokens you have to burn.
Choose the token(s) you’d like to burn, and click Approve.
Once approved, you’ll see Entry Confirmed and your draw is registered. You can now return to Treasure Chest to enter for other treasures.
Step 5: Track Your Entries & Wait for the Results
After entering, your chosen treasure will now display “Entered — Awaiting Draw” on the Treasure Chest page. You can click on the treasure at any time to check the status of your entry.
When the draw ends, you’ll receive an email letting you know whether you’ve been selected.
If you win, your BOOK GAMES will automatically be burned in exchange for your treasure.If you weren’t selected, no action is needed. Your BOOK GAMES will remain in your wallet, and you can try again in future Treasure Chests.
For physical treasures, you’ll receive a Shopify link to enter your shipping details. For digital treasures, your reward will be sent to the default wallet linked to your VeeFriends account.
Please Note: Burn Island activations have strict entry deadlines. Please ensure to report any issues entering well before the timer ends to allow for entry, as we cannot guarantee entries once the timer has expired. Draws occur immediately when the timer ends, requiring all eligible entries to be submitted before the countdown expires.
