Manchester United have reignited their pursuit of Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui following the collapse of his potential move to West Ham. According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, the Hammers had agreed on a fee of nearly €20 million with Bayern for the 26-year-old right-back. However, negotiations hit a roadblock when they failed to reach an agreement on personal terms with Mazraoui’s representatives, prompting West Ham to pull out.
Seizing the opportunity, Manchester United have turned their focus to strengthening their right defensive flank, with doubts arising over the future of Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The 20-time English champions have been proactive in the transfer market, securing the signings of striker Joshua Zirkzee and defender Leny Yoro. They are also heavily linked with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte, as they look to bolster their squad for the upcoming season. Talks with Mazraoui are reportedly progressing well and are said to be in an advanced stage.
Mazraoui, who has earned 28 caps for Morocco, joined Bayern from Ajax in 2022. Since then, he has featured in 55 games for the Bavarian giants, registering one goal and eight assists.
