Former President Trump returned to Western Pennsylvania for the first time since an assassination attempt injured him last month in Butler County, and he is hoping his visit will rally his MAGA base to boost him to a Pennsylvania and national victory come November.
NHL forward Johnny Gaudreau and his brother, Matthew, were killed by a suspected drunk driver while riding bicycles in Oldmans Township, New Jersey. Johnny, age 31, played 11 NHL seasons while Matthew, age 29, most recently played minor league hockey. The pair played together at Gloucester Catholic High School and Boston College.
A Dallas police officer was shot and killed in Oak Cliff on Thursday night. Two other officers were hurt, one critically. The Dallas Police Department said they got a call around 10 p.m. about an officer in distress near the Oak Cliff Community Center on Ledbetter Road near Marsalis Avenue. They found an officer in his marked patrol vehicle who had been shot.
