In a recent gaming feat that has left many in awe, a video game collector from Saudi Arabia, Ibrahim Al-Nasser, has managed to secure a Guinness World Record for having the most game consoles connected to a single television. The staggering number? An impressive 444 different machines linked to his TV through a complex network of switches and converters. This achievement is truly remarkable considering the frustrations many of us faced as kids when dealing with just a handful of consoles and having to constantly swap out cables.

Al-Nasser’s solution to this cable chaos involves a meticulous setup that includes over 30 RCA switchers and more than a dozen HDMI switchers to connect consoles that span over four decades of gaming history. With such a vast array of consoles at his disposal, keeping track of which console is connected to which port would seem like an impossible task. To address this challenge, Al-Nasser created a detailed spreadsheet that conveniently guides him on which switchers to activate in order to access a specific console.

Hours upon hours of time and effort were invested in ensuring that the wiring was perfectly organized, and the results are truly impressive. The absence of visible cables gives Al-Nasser’s gaming setup a museum-grade quality that rivals even the most professional video game rooms.

In Al-Nasser’s collection, you’ll find nearly every major console imaginable, along with hundreds of other obscure systems that may be entirely new to you. From current-gen powerhouses like the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam Deck to retro classics such as the original PlayStation, Nintendo 64 (complete with the Disk Drive), and Sega Dreamcast, his collection truly spans the breadth of gaming history.

When asked about his all-time favorite console, Al-Nasser’s heart lies with the legendary Sega Genesis. Originally known as the Mega Drive in Japan before its North American debut as the Genesis in 1989, this 16-bit console rivaled the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and boasted an impressive library of games including memorable titles like Disney’s Aladdin, Mortal Kombat, and the iconic Sonic the Hedgehog series.

In conclusion, Ibrahim Al-Nasser’s record-breaking achievement in connecting 444 game consoles to a single television is a testament to his passion for gaming and his dedication to creating a truly awe-inspiring gaming setup. His meticulous planning and attention to detail have resulted in a truly remarkable display that showcases the evolution of gaming technology over the decades. With a collection that includes both mainstream favorites and obscure gems, Al-Nasser’s gaming paradise is a true testament to the enduring appeal of video games.
